How to make Fish Finger Pie:

  1. Cook the fish fingers per pack instructions
  2. In the meantime, peel and dice up the potatoes into small cubes.
  3. Boil the potatoes over the hob until soft, about 15-20 minutes.
  4. Drain and return potatoes to the pan and mash. Optionally add a splash of milk, a knob of butter or some fresh cream for extra creamy mash.
  5. Place the fish fingers in an oven-proof fish and top with the beans. Optionally stir in some BBQ, hot or Worcestershire sauce to the beans.
  6. Sprinkle over a handful of grated cheese.
  7. Top with the mash and sprinkle over some more cheese.
  8. Bake at 200 degrees/180 degrees fan for 20-30 minutes until golden and crispy.
  9. Serve with some greens or salad.

Ingredient swaps

  • Sweet Potatoes: Use sweet potatoes instead of regular potatoes for a different flavour and added nutrients.
  • Vegetarian Option: Replace fish fingers with vegetarian or vegan fish-free fingers available at most supermarkets.
  • Different Cheeses: Experiment with various cheeses such as cheddar, mozzarella, or a smoked cheese for a different taste.
